How it Works
From a central kiosk, one can monitor and manage home energy consumption. Users can set their home's energy consumption threshold. When the threshold is surpassed, the Automated Power Cycling Network (APCN) will selectively turn off devices to conserve energy. The user can choose which devices to cycle on and off.
Our APCN will lower consumption of energy for a typical household. We're bringing energy management, once available only to businesses, to the average consumer. We hope to inspire a culture of environmental responsibility starting with the home owner.

Power Metering Unit (PMU)
The PMU serves as a sensor to our central kiosk. The PMU monitors how much energy is being consumed across its terminals. In its current incarnation, the PMU sits at the entry point of power to your entire house. In this implementation it would measure the entire energy consumption of your home.
